On-line Courses???

Published

I will be moving this summer, and I am finishing up my pre-reqs for nursing school. I alreay have my Bachelor of Business Administration, but I've always wanted to be a nurse. I am currently living in Jackson, MS, but will be moving to Ocean Springs, MS (the coast) this summer. I don't want this to slow my school down in away way. I am all set to sign up for some on-line courses, but I need some help choosing the right ones to take. Also, I wanted to know if you ever have to actually go to the classroom for an on-line course because right now I live 2.5 hours away from the school I will be going to, and I'm working a full time job. I am also a single mother of a 2 year old, so I am sort of lost right now. Please help with any suggestions.

Specializes in OR Internship starting in Jan!!.

I *love* online classes. They are perfect for me. But, they don't work for everyone. It's really a matter of learning style.

However, I did take A&P in person.

 Thanks, I spoke to the school, and they said that it all depends on which instructor you get whether you have to actually go in at some point. I will make sure I get an instructor that doesn't require you to come in because right now I live 2.5 hours away.
Specializes in Medical-Surgical, Hemodialysis.

I've taken a few online courses. In fact this fall my A&P I is online, but we have class times set for labs. Since every teacher is different it's hard to know what to expect. My online Anthropology teacher was fantastic. She even invited us out on digs, but my Humanities through the Arts teacher leaves a lot to be desired. Then again I do much better in science, social science, and mathematics so maybe art just isn't my fortay. :uhoh21:
