Thanks. I like to give my input because not many people actually live permanently in these areas. Alot, tend to be travel nurses. It has been a dream since nursing school to get up to the territories. I really enjoy this work. Its difficult alot of the time but I love the people and I have met some interesting people.
Anyone who knows me around the boards know that i am in love with northern nursing.. I am in Northern Ontario now and have been here for 1.8 years and do enjoy my job alot. Sonce2009 I have been trying to get a job in NWT/Yukon/Nunavut
Nunavut finally replied.. I am beyond excited and she is going to set up an interview within 2 wks.
I actually got to pick a position.. I am actually being asked what job i would be interested in..
Its all surreal amd depending on the info i receive (i have a 14 yo dtr to consider) i could be up in the artic soon.. Well since licenses take time not super soon but soon enough..
Soooo excited
Congrats!!!
Well i didnt get the job![]()
However.... They said i could do my RN placement up there for school ( i am in rpn to bscn)
So that could give me an edge if i am a student first.. I refuse to give up.. I will get to the territories lol
Yep, never give up! You can do it! =D
And is there any particular reason that you want to go to the territories? Isn't it cold up there?
