Older editions of textbooks...

Published

Hey all!

I am looking into buying my textbooks online for A&P, and Micro... The most current editions are so expensive and I was wondering if anyone has had bad experiences ordering a version or two older since they are only a fraction of the price.

I've never ordered books online before so I'm a little apprehensive but would love to save a few hundred dollars. :)

I used older edition in non science classes, but in science, things change so quickly you may have out of date information. Look at how many years between the newest edition and the older edition. Also you will have a whole semester making sure you are reading the right pages and having to look at someone else's books to make sure you are doing the correct homework.

Have you looked at a book rental site like chegg.com? I love chegg, free shipping both ways and books at 75% less than the purchase price.

Good luck

That's a good point... The editions are only a year apart... I have thought about renting but with these books I wanted to keep them for future references. I think they are good resources to have. I may just have to fork over the extra cash... :-/

I bought one at a yard sale for five dollars . I thought I could use it for things I don't understand. I figured it might explain things a bit different.
