  1. My first lab test was yesterday. My first lecture is next week. I don't think I did too bad, but I know I over studied.
  2. My teacher is an old man who talks monotone lol. I almost used all of one eraser ans I only had two classes! We have tutors (some peer, and one teacher) available to us and I am getting it better now. My lab partner on the other hand.......
  3. I was horrible at math. In school, I always passed with a D......just barely. I even remember my third grade teacher giving my mom extra study materials to work with me. Last fall when I took it, I don't know if it was because I was older, or because of my amazing teacher, but I passed it with a 95%.
  4. Chemistry 101, A&P 1, and Death and Dying. Hard to believe I am applying next month .
  5. I bought one at a yard sale for five dollars . I thought I could use it for things I don't understand. I figured it might explain things a bit different.
  6. I am applying for the program at Southwestern Illinois College. While I am waiting I will be taking prerequs for other programs.
  7. I had to drop A&P I during the spring semester. I took Human Biology during the summer. I am going to take A&P again in the fall. I wish I would have done it that way in the beginning.
  8. Psychology C (don't even get me started) human biology B ( would have been an A if I didn't decide to sprain my foot and miss two lectures) now onto a&p 1 chemistry and death and dying. Sorry about punctuation. On my ipad
  9. I use my iPad to take notes and record....I use the inclass app so it has my notes and my lectures all together. You can get a blue tooth keyboard on amazon pretty cheap. I just know I type faster than I can write, and it is easier for me than carrying my laptop.
  10. I was always told that you have to send all of your transcripts. Some of the applications for schools, I have noticed, it said that when you sign the application that you are being truthful about your history with schools (sorry, don't remember the exact wording). I wouldn't want to do anything that would jepordize my status at the school once I was in and then end up getting kicked out. Not saying that it would happen, I just rather be safe than sorry.
  11. I am 29 now, next semester will be my last semester of prereqs. I had so many issues going on graduating highschool, that i did that by the skin of my teeth. I know now, the things that were depressing me then wasn't really that much of an issue. Anyway, that is beside the point. If I would have have done this right after high school I probably would't have made it through. Of course I have regrets, every one does. Anyway good luck :)
  12. Thank you to you as well. I understand that i can't go just by my lecture notes, I do study the book as well. I just brought up that because it seemed like that was what the first reply was getting at. Everyone is so helpful here :)
  13. ,We have CDs and my group made flash cards on quizlet with them. This teacher I had wouldn't tell the class what was on the test and he wouldn't make office time available. I was thinking about recording him on my iPad, but most of our teachers don't allow it. I was thinking about going in our tutoring center and asking some of the biology student tutors for ideas on which teacher might be a good choice for me. I got all As last semester so I know I am not dumb. It is very frustrating when I can look at the vocab list and know exactly where it is.
  14. I had to drop a&p 1. I don't know why I was doing so bad on the tests. I was understanding it with my study group. My plan is when I take it again, to have a 2 hour break. One hour to be in our success center and another for lunch. I will also try to find a teacher that is more available to the students. I am going to still look over the book while I am not in it as well. Any other suggestions?
