I'm an old RN (my 50th) currently working in NY hospital. Now hospital required all RN to get BSN in nursing. Oh lord .. I graduated nursing school in another country many years back and that school even does not exist anymore! I tried but wasn't able to verify my education anymore.. Does anybody know what online program can accept me to RN-BSN program?
Oh Ihflanurse you give me hope! I am 58 and need to get my BSN, I am a RN ADN, but I don't know, I have a math block but can do just about anything else. I look at the websites of the schools and some of them are so intense I can't even find the info about the program. I need a school that is relaxed. Don't know if that is possible but I will keep looking.

I feel that requiring all RN's to have BSN's is going to take these nurses away from the bedside. Nurses should remain at the bedside. We all have RN behind our name and that should be good enough. The patient's don't care how many initials or degrees you have
what matters the most is the care they receive at your facility. We are going to end up with too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
