I was told that the old Hurst videos (the ones where Marlene teaches majority of the vids) is better than the new ones. I have acess to the old ones for free but can renew the new vids for $50 I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the two and if so what are your thoughts?
Also if you had the option would you go with the new ones or the old ones?
I just don't have any unneccesary money to waste. Please help

Hi there,
I had found online some audio of the Hurst Review where Marlene is explaining all the topics (cardiac, maternity, peds, endocrine, etc.) but have used the supposed newer ones where other people are talking. From what I noticed, they are the same material and both read off of the same script. For example, for endocrine, both the new and old talk about Cushing's as a "cushion of steroids" and both talk about "Defibbing the V-fib". So from my experience, I don't see a difference between the one's Marlene teaches and the one's her friends teach
Thanks Frank on the old ones Marlene teaches I didn't see maternity nor peds but I have the newer maternity/peds. I think I may just use the old ones & save $50
Frank RN, do you mind sharing the link for those Hurst videos?

I have both. I borrowed the old ones from a friend. I signed up for the new online review for $300 last month. I listened to them both 3 times, and 4-5 times on some chapters. The New book is better, it's well organized. The Old one is a bit all-over-the-place. The lecture is more or less the same, however I like Marlene's teaching better. Some of the reviewers online looked like they're memorizing (like what students do in school during class presentations). I couldn't listen to the cardiac lecturer on the New review online. She talks like she's singing and it annoys the crap out of me. LOL! But that's completely me, so don't take that against them. In comparison to Marlene, Marlene sounds like she really knows her stuff. And she explained the material better, in my opinion. One advantage of the new review is it has some additional information on some of the chapters, but it's very minimal. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't bother signing up for the new one. The lectures are really just the same. I'm not sure about the fifth day materials though, because I got all of mine from the New review. Private message me if you have questions.
Thanks Jess I'll PM you
