i know the vital skill blood pressure is on the test but will i fail the cna test if i can't find it or if i am way off? this skill is a hit/miss with me. i figure i will get all my practice on field as a cna.
if missing this skill will cause me to fail the test then i might buy a stethoscope & blood pressure meter to practice with.

BP is one of the mandatory skills everyone has to do on the Oklahoma test. You have to pass the skills test with a 100% before you are allowed to take the written test. If you do fail (and I believe you will do great!!) you get your money back and are just out some time and have a better understanding of what your weaknesses are.
I found a BP/stethescope kit at the pharmacy in Wal-Mart for $20. I don't know how good it is but should be fine to practice with.
What problems are you having? I'd be more than happy to help if I can.

I think that BP is one of the most important skills for someone to have down and be comfortable with. I would advise being comfortable with it before you start working regardless of the test. I don't know about Oklahoma, but in California I think you would fail by being way off on a BP. It tells so much about a person's condition. I think getting a stethoscope and cuff is a great idea and just practice on everyone you know. It's funny too that so many people are excited to get their blood presure taken and you'll be a pro in no time. Good luck!! :redpinkhe
Thanks everyone. I passed both tests with flying colors. I took your guys advice & bought a stethoscope taking any ones blood pressure who walked through my front door.
