i got a tb test at my doctors office while i was there for another reason.
I did not realize that I needed to go back to my doctors office within 48 hours. (it was not made clear to me at the time of the test, and i received no written instructions) i went back today (4 days later) and they said the test results are no good now and that I need to take it again (and pay for it again..... they were quick to tell me that part). should I wait a week or two? and any suggestions where i can get one for free? she was very clear that my insurance will not cover it. i am in virginia beach va.
thanks.

I do not know if it is good or bad to have two in one week. I would check with your local health department to see if there are any risk. Plus they may offer it cheaper.

TB tests have always made me nervous...I coulda sworn that a person is supposed to have a wait period in between PPDs. Pleas emake sure you check before you do...that place seems to have their priorities mixed up. How could they not give you follow up instructions? They mustve assumed everybody knows....NOT COOL.

What do you need the test for? School? Because your employer should offer the test for free.

Unfortunately, no one on this forum is allowed to give medical advice. The best place to find out if it is safe to take the TB test twice would be your medical provider or public healthcare provider.
