Could any of you explain how it is that a RN gets put on the OIG list and what this entails. I am just curious as to what I may be facing. I am right now in the investigation process and holding my breath. I did not divert meds however I quit my job after I got a DUI and possession, I self reported myself. I am holding my breath but trying to breath. I have been able to maintain my sobriety with the help of God, great sponsor and 12step group which is anonymous. Thanks for any information.
I am currently on the exclusion list for the past year 2017-2018. I took a plea deal for a misdemeanor charge for Medicaid Fraud, which I regret doing. I recently got my nursing reinstated and recently sent a letter to appeal me being on the exclusion list. My case was a tough pill to swallow, blind sided by not knowing what I was doing was against the law. Scolded for not knowing the Nursing Law and rule in which I understand now. Confused on why this type of information is not in any nursing curriculum. Long story short I was convicted of Medicaid Fraud being I was flexing my time, suggested by case manager. At this time I was a new nurse excited about my future, never really told in depth how to protect myself and license. The case I was on was always short of nurses. I would train nurses one day and never see them again. I was over worked and stressed, threatening to drop the case on several occasions. Me being the compassionate person that I am I stayed on the case literally by myself with one other nurse working very little hours I was told that I could Flex my time by working a 16-hour shift one day and by the next day I could come in 4 hours late but I could bill for 12 hours for each day so I didn't steal any money I didn't not work my shift I just was told that I had to stay if another nurse did not show up but could come in later the next day to account for those hours sorry. There were many of days where I actually worked for free working almost a 24-hour shift due to the parents being at work and the next nurse not showing up. Sorry for being compassionate and now I'm stuck with a Medicaid fraud conviction I understand now that I was breaking the law but I did not know then is there any consideration for my case this is what I asked the office of Inspector General that I did not do this intentionally I complied with the Court's I complied with the judge that is why they dropped it down to a misdemeanor and this time next year my record will be expunged will this help me get off of the office of Inspector General exclusion list
I sent in my paperwork in August but then got a call in sept that 2 pages were missing í ¾í´¦í ¼í¿¾*♀ï¸. So she mailed the packet again but told me she would be out of the office the rest of the month. So I got it back in to her and she revived it sept 26th. I called her today to check on it. She was nice enough to call me back, but said it could take 120 days and reinstatement's are not the priority. Which I understand. They have more pressing cases to investigate. She said they don't normally take calls for updates. So I'll just take these meds and not bother her í ½í¸”. What do they have to research to reinstate you that could take 120 days? What is the investigation? I'm so broke and poor not being able to go to work. I'm in such a dark place. I'm working for 11$/hr and barely keeping the lights on.

Hi,
I have not been put of the federal list but the list for the State of Ohio. I just found this out. It has been almost 5 years. How do I remove my name off this list. The federal is telling they see nothing that I have to go thru the State. I can't find any information.
