Hello all,
I am likely to start Linfield's ABSN program this June and set to finish about August 23, 2013. Those who completed these two programs already, can you discuss how the timing of graduation and passing NCLEX so that you can apply to new grad residency programs. I did a little research and it doesnt look like I will really be able to attack the application process for these programs until next April 2014, due to deadlines and such. Is this accurate? Any advice on how to handle this would be great.

I spent about 2 1/2 weeks studying for the NCLEX... I took the online HURST review and then focused on all of their content and passed at 75 questions. I think most of my classmates who took the HURST review did the same. I do recommend the online version vs. the live version because you can go back and watch the videos over again. If you take the Live Review you have to pay extra for the online courses - which doesn't make sense.
As far as the residency programs are concerned, I don't know that I'd count on an August start date. As I indicated in the other thread, this year is a bit abnormal. Last year the Legacy Versant program started at the end of July (see https://allnurses.com/oregon-nurses/legacy-health-rn-558489-page6.html) and I'm pretty sure it was June or July in 2010, as well.
