Hello, I'm currently working on my application for the OHSU ABS to PMHNP program. Wanted to start this thread to communicate with any other applicants (even if its for a different track).

If you're reading this, what program are you applying for, what is your current undergrad degree on and what is your healthcare experience? if any ?

I got an email yesterday, they just reiterated their timeline. Applications are still pending through February so I’m anticipating one more week. ?

One more week until they send interview invites? Did you reach out to them about the interviews? Can you tell I'm anxious ??

Of course!

I did not reach out to them, I just received it by their own accord. They state that they’re going through applications that are missing information, and if you haven’t heard from them yet your application is complete. They then said they will be offering interview invites through Jan-February, and referred to the interview dates posted on their website.

They also said interview would be conducted via video chat for about 30 minutes. ? I hope this is helpful!

Hello there and happy new year! Wondering if any current OHSU students (in particular any DNP-CNM students!) can offer guidance on a few topics:

(1) How did you feel about the interview process? In what ways was it similar to or different than interviews with other programs?

(2) Did anyone apply on a "priority" timeline, as in submitted your application by the priority deadline of Nov 1? If so, when did you hear admission decisions? This year, the priority option is only available for CNM applicants, as far as I can tell. I've heard from the admissions office that I may hear mid to late February, but it would be wonderful to hear any more specific details from folks who have been through this process.

(3) For anyone admitted, did you receive your financial aid offer within the timeframe for making a decision? My sense so far is that the offer/decision timeline may not be long enough for financial aid packages to be taken into account.

(4) It seems the institutional scholarship application is open until March 1, so scholarships will not be announced until well after we have to make a matriculation decision. Was that the case when you applied? Does anyone have a sense of how substantial scholarship awards are in your cohort? I appreciate that this is sensitive personal information and folks might not want to share widely. If you feel comfortable sharing by sending a DM, I would be so grateful.  

(5) Any advice or guidance about other scholarship programs? I am not an Oregon resident, so the OSAC scholarships are not accessible for me. 

I applied to the ABSN/DNP-CNM dual program and received notification about my interview in mid-November. My interview is next week. There seems to be very little information online (other than OHSU's website) about the OHSU DNP program and midwifery program in particular. I would LOVE to be able to chat directly with any current CNM students, if you know any who might be willing to email me. If so, they can reach me at [email protected].
