Hi Everyone,
I am new to nursing and starting to take my classes and planning to transfer to SFSU. I've heard from several people or students that the grade B from Ohlone college will be transfer to SFSU as an A. This sounds strange of how an B can turn into A but coming from a couple of people make me think it shouldn't hurt to ask. Thank you all

Dear Davh2zz:
I would like to respond to your inquiry. I am the Dean of Health Sciences at Ohlone College. A college transcript reflects the grades which were earned in that class. I have never heard that an Ohlone transcript will be awarded another grade at the transferring college or university. Maybe what you have heard is when you earn a B at Ohlone College, it is like earning an A at another college due to the rigor and high standards the college professors adhere to. I would encourage you to speak directly with college officials when these types of questions arise. Students like to be helpful, but a times, incorrect information is exchanged.
I wish you every success in your endeavors. Dr. Gale Carli, Dean, Health Sciences, Ohlone College
