Ohio University (OHIO) - CRNA 2025 Start

Published

Hi, I'm making a forum for those applying to OU's CRNA program starting this fall (2025) since I don't see one yet. Let's help each other out!

In the open house did they say when they'd let people know after interview?

The week of March 3rd

Has anyone heard back yet? I know they said the week of March 3rd, but I'm just nervous 😅

Check your emails!

Anyone not planning on accepting?

-Sad nurse who is waitlisted

I accepted my position and paid the deposit last week.  Anyone heard anything since with more details about classes/start date/orientation?

Congratulations! Ha r you "accepted" the admission? There is Graduate Student Orientation you have to complete online. Check your email. Down the line, we have to get our immunizations up to date. Get a background  check and drug screen done.

Just curious, were all those that accepted applying from in-state? One of my friends in the last cohort said they only interviewed in-state applicants, which is total BS.

I was accepted and applied as a NC resident. You need to have an Ohio RN license on your application though. Maybe your friend is referring to that.

I have a NC compact license. Ohio is compact as well, and there is no way to obtain an OH license if you already have a compact license from another state. Maybe my application just sucked then, ha.

hello everyone, thinking about applying to this program. would anyone let me know if they recommend the program or not? Thank you soooo much 🙂

I started the program this semester and I'm very happy with the anesthesia side of our curriculum. However, the OU DNP classes often come across a bit unorganized. I think that's due to the program recently switching from Otterbein to OU two years ago and they're still working out some kinks. I've spoken with friends in other programs in other parts of the country and they seem to have the similar issues with the DNP portion so it doesn't seem unique to this program. Overall, I'm very happy with the decision to attend OU - the anesthesia faculty have up to 15-20 years of experience and really put together a wonderful program for their students.
