i am from mansfield, ohio and the city is small but the school is good. i know that there is no wait list and it is a 4-year school. i know that for some clinical's you have to travel to cleveland or columbus. which are both about an hour away. i have a friend who's twin sisters graduated from there last spring 2008 and they both got jobs at the local hospital in mansfield right after they graduated.

Specializes in MRDD, HOME HEALTH AND MOST RECENTLY MEDS.

Yes, I am an R.N. there, just started last year, was a LPN prior to that and had worked at a diffrent place, not a hospital. I am so glad that I decided to go to work for Medcentral, I have learned so much and they give you a good orientation period. The only thing I hate is getting pulled to other floors but I guess there is not much they can do about it. That will not happen to you until after your orientation is over, like 6 weeks or so.

Specializes in Cardiac/Tele/CVICU.

If you're looking for a BSN program, it's OK. If you are happy with an ADN degree, then NCSC in Mansfield is the way to go.

I'm told weekly that the nurses, staff, etc would rather have an NCSC grad over a MedCentral grad any day.

Oh here's a link: http://www.ncstatecollege.edu/cms/index.php

Specializes in ER.

I have heard the same thing, and NCSC is a lot less money
