[vent]I tend to get along well with coworkers, both while in my previous career, and now in nursing. But my goodness, some of the personalities in the ED can be a bit hard to take. It's like "Get over yourself already!!!". [/vent]
I agree totally with the ED personalities. Most are Type A, and that is ok. It is the narcissistic overbearing nurses that can make a 12 hour shift feel like an eternity!!
You know the type; they know more than anyone--especially more than the MD's and not afraid to tell them how wrong they are. How do they get away with that??

I agree with you. You're preaching to the choir here. This is a topic for a different thread. One of my best friends is an ICU nurse, and we've had the "Why can't you put an IV in somewhere other than the AC before you send them up?", to which I have replied "Why can't you just put one in wherever you want it after I bring them up?" discussion a few times.
