I am in a consent agreement with the obn and I am very close to completing it I now have to have a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation by a psychiatrist who specializes in addiction psychiatry unfortunately it's very difficult to find one with these credentials has anyone else went through this process? everyone I have talked to has not had to have a comprehensive one just a chemical dependency basic one can anyone help me this is so frustrating !

Why do you have to do this if you are almost done?

My state's contract (standard boilerplate thing) states that you "may" be required to have another evaluation prior to completion of your contract. My personal thought is that it probably serves as a method of digging for a reason to extend the contract. I don't know if it's really true but it sounds like an ambiguous excuse to make some more money. Just my opinion.

I have no I have Every psychiatrist in Ohio either they aren't taking new patients they arent qualified with the right credentials etc this I driving me insane

Of course it is another way to make money. This program is shameful. Asking for an "evaluation" after years of participation. Yet another obvious money grab.

True. What is there to "evaluate" after several years of them being all up in our business (that's the sanitized version of what I really want to say.) The only thing to find out would be just how inappropriately these programs have been used. But there's no $$ to be made from that so nobody cares.

THIS is exactly why I am terrified to sign. I just got my consent agreement after three years and am scared to even start I got lucky and is two years and appears to have no alcohol testing (just easier in general with that) but I am scared to death that they will change it all. I HATE what this has done to my life, confidence, and way of thinking, I seriously wish I would have never gone into nursing..

If we don't do what they say we will be blacklisted from anything to do with medicare and i just don't see how you could use your degree with that hanging over head.

I am just so sorry this happened to you.

I really have no idea why they asked for this type of evaluation like said prior what or why is the need for it ? I get the initial eval but another after jumping through all the hoops and completing all and every task? A simple return to work eval would have be a more practical and logical option. Ive been hit to drop urine 2x a month for the last 3 months in addition to having a blood sample for PETH test. I mean ive spent 1200 dollars to date this year in screens!
