I took the CPNE on June 5-7, 2015. Graduated on August 21, 2015 and took the NCLEX on August 25, 2015. I was very frustrated with the ATI that we get "free" after we finish the CPNE. You have to wait until you are 4 weeks from your graduation before they will let you start using ATI. I feel like I waited enough before I could start practicing for the NCLEX. I bought Kaplan Q bank 99.00 for 3 months. I did the trainers 1-6 for free that I found online. I highly recommend Kaplan Q bank and not ATI. I feel like I passed because of Kaplan. The questions were much harder than ATI and there are over 1300 questions as well. Good luck to all of the Excelsior nursing students.

Hi Heimbuc -Were you very specific about where you wanted to do the CPNE? I am just wondering how it is laid out, like do you specify a place you want to do it, or do they just place you somewhere? I am just wondering if you are open to anywhere in the country if I might get in quicker? Any advice on the CPNE would be most hopeful.

THANKS!

Yes, I know there are no instructional Clinicals :nailbiting: ... Was this a hindrance for you, or is the instructional videos and material sufficient? Is there anything any of you guys can let me know about the coursework /CPNE? Thanks!

What was your total cost? And congrats by the way.

CONGRATS!!!!! I also passed my CPNE in June, but I tested at Meriter.

i graduated August 21st and took NCLEX yesterday. I am nervously awaiting the results of NCLEX, but I got the " so called "Good Pop Up". I too, used Kaplan and ATI. I like ATI because it has the predictor at the end, but I was used to it from my LVN program.

CPNE is doable but my recommendation is to know element like the back of your hand and if you fail something, just remind yourself you get a do-over and make the repeat count. The CAs and CE's really do want you to pass....

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!:geek:

I just signed up for EC & I am mentally preparing myself for the CPNE even though I'm nowhere near close. :p I just know I have to study & practice.

How were you able to do a CPNE at Meriter? What are all the locations, other than Albany and Atlanta to take the CPNE?
