Offically RN Excelisor College

I took the CPNE on June 5-7, 2015. Graduated on August 21, 2015 and took the NCLEX on August 25, 2015. I was very frustrated with the ATI that we get "free" after we finish the CPNE. You have to wait until you are 4 weeks from your graduation before they will let you start using ATI. I feel like I waited enough before I could start practicing for the NCLEX. I bought Kaplan Q bank 99.00 for 3 months. I did the trainers 1-6 for free that I found online. I highly recommend Kaplan Q bank and not ATI. I feel like I passed because of Kaplan. The questions were much harder than ATI and there are over 1300 questions as well. Good luck to all of the Excelsior nursing students.

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

So you passed? Congrats!

Can't wait to be in your shoes, the CPNE wait time is so frustrating but I have come this far, can't turn back now! It's so encouraging to see your great news!!!

Congratulations. Hard work always pays off.

Yes! I passed!

I got a date 2 months after I sent in my application for the CPNE. I got a date on May 27, 2015 to test on June 5, 2015. I was like, "Okay, I got 2 weeks to really grind hard and study." Nope, it was 9 freaking days! It was stressful, but doable.

Congrats Nibbles!!!!! where did you take the CPNE?

I just finished my application process to the ADN program through Excelsior College. Any advice would be appreciated! I have a way to go before my Clinicals, but can't help but be a bit apprehensive... Any issues with employment with hospitals after obtaining your RN?

You do know that there aren't actual clinicals, right? I just mention it because you referred to clinicals. There is a Clinical Performance in Nursing Examination (CPNE), which is a 2.5 day extravaganza. :) Just wanted to make sure you knew! Welcome to the fun. :D

Congrats to you! You are my inspiration!

Congratulations! I applied for my CPNE in April and still do not have a test dateí ½í¸”. They are telling me probably Jan-feb. Very frustrating, but out of my hands. Thanks for the advice! It's nice to see it didn't take long to take your NCLEX. best of luck as a new RN!
