Good luck, so you just kept calling until they got you a date? I believe I applied the same time as you did, and I am beyond ready for this to be done! So let me know your secret.

CPNE study guide
Yes once I read the study guide I will be signing up for Sheri's online workshop for a few months as well. We have the same study plan lol, when are you planning on taking the in-person workshop. I am scared about timing it right, not too soon but not too late.

CPNE study guide
I do want to do a workshop, I'm leaning towards CPNE bootcamp in Miami. How about you?

CPNE study guide
I believe I have read every thread on here about the CPNE study guide and none of it prepared me for what it actually looks like. I am in a slight state of shock, the thing is massive. Ok deep breath, I found a website, best value copy, I got all 536 pages in b/w with 3-hole punch for 28.50 including shipping. Use the coupon on the home page. Good luck everyone!

Passed Life Span (1) 2015!
I bought my books on amazon used and if the book was too expensive I bought the edition before. Not much changes in content, the chapter numbers might change though. I couldn't see myself passing with A's without some of the books. Med-surg, Fundamentals, Nursing Issues, and the Maternal-child books were must haves. All the other books were not really as useful. But this all just my humble opinion, good luck.

Looking for a faster better way to study for excelsior courses
I think everyone has mentioned Studygroup101. Also what helped me move faster was a few psychological motivators as well. Schedule your tests when you register so you have a deadline, I wrote a timeline on a dry erase board at the front of my house so I had a visual of my goal everyday. It's easy to get sidetracked when doing self study. Idk if this helps but thought I'd add another aspect.

Are there any nurses that completed Excelsior from Louisiana?
I am also doing my FCCA's currently but love the program, but to address your question I work with three nurses who graduated from Excelsior. They all had no problems with Boards or getting jobs! Hope that helps.

LS2 and beyond
Oh wow I am taking LS2 tomorrow as well ha! Good luck I have used SG101 and Saunders as well. I do really good with printing out the quizzes at the end of SG101 and checking my accuracy with them. I go over the rationales and make sure I understand why I got them right or wrong. I do have the actual textbooks which I sometimes use to clarify some things (like Endocrine), well good luck, tell me how it goes tomorrow.
