Hello to you all,
I was offered a excellent G.I. office position, but have never worked @ a Dr. office, except @ my dad's Vet. clinic. I graduated from LPN Program last may 2004 and started working on the med/surg floor right then, until this Feb. 2005, was transfered to ortho/surgical until i was offered this great Job!
I love the G.I. system, it fasinates me! Im feel kinda of dumb asking for your help and feedback, but i really need some heads up on the G.I. office duties, protocols, or actually a whole job discription!
I want to start preparing for this once in a lifetime opportunity~
The benefits are out of this world, start pay is $2.50 more than im making now, continuing ed. is payed for, bounses, and the whole office staff and Docs are amazing ! It's a blessing in disgiuse****
Your All Appreciated

Well my wife has been a GI nure for 6 years now. Lots and lots of explaining bowel prep, scheduling of course, office visit duties like any other clinci type setting, B/P hx, current meds and problem list, in my wife's office they also have an out Pt endo center so they do many of their procedures in house so to speak and she also assists with those.
You will have to ask your potential employer for a job description for you particular job

Thanks for the quik response, and the info. that you gave me. They gave me a very small description, I know that i will be learning the capsule, besides regular office duties, and they aslo said alot (most) of it is more mental then skills. So I will see soon! I really appreciate you taking your time to reply to me!!!
