ODU Fall 2020 hopefuls?

Published

Hello, I was wondering if anyone on here is applying to the BSN Fall 2020 program at ODU? I am, and have seen support for others waiting for their replies in other years, would love to hear about stats and dreams! ?

Wow... no one on here ?

Ya girl I just submitted my application last week?

Are you applying to any other programs? Like the concurrent option?

Hi! I submitted my application for the accelerated pre-licensure program about two weeks ago. I have a bachelor's in kinesiology with a concentration in public health from William & Mary. My pre-req GPA is a little over a 3.9 and I have my EMT certification but no experience working in the field.
My HESI was a 96 total with a perfect score in A&P, Bio, and Chem.

I know I sound like a braggy d-bag, but I'm still nervous about admissions because I was rejected from a less competitive school two years ago, but they took into account my entire GPA from W&M, which was not competitive (3.1). I've been searching for this thread forever!!!

I'm hoping to go on and get my DNP/CRNA cert from VCU after and work in anesthesiology.

Thank you for sharing your stats! We are all in this lovely game called “waiting”... so I am hoping we can be a support system of sorts.

I have a prior degree in finance and my gpa is 4.0 both for my degree and all of my pre-reqs, however my HESI was an 88. Your HESI is very high, good for you! I have volunteer experience at the children’s hospital.

Are you currently at ODU?

I am going to get my DNP through ODU!

Wow, that GPA is impressive!

Im currently just taking a couple classes for fun at the local community college so I don’t get too comfortable with not being in school lol

What made ODU your first choice for your DNP?

I have a friend who just graduated with her FNP from there, and she is in the DNP program now. She loves it and the staff! ? Also, I am at ODU now and I love it there ?

hello, I'm applying to a couple different schools. My HESI was a 89 and I have experience in the EMT field and have volunteered over 200 hours as an EMT. High intense situations have influenced my love for patient care. Especially when you see people on their worst days but they still have a smile on their face.

Hi,

I love your passion for your work and think you would make an amazing nurse! Your HESI is strong too!
Your experience sounds very competitive, awesome job!

I applied also...are any of you applying for other schools also?

I am only applying to ODU, so I am hoping to be accepted. Are you applying anywhere else?
