I know, I'm really excited! I've heard how tough it is, but I meet people all the time who are LPNs that went to this school and graduated, and they all have good-paying jobs now. So I just have it in my head that I HAVE to pass.
At this point I still have to do the drug testing, the interview, and apply for the loan, of course.
I had my interview a few months ago! It was a breeze. It was just typical questions like why do you want to be a nurse and tell me about yourself. They basically just want you to know how much hard work you are in for and make sure that you can handle it. The lady was so nice. I did my drug screening too. Now I am just waiting for the finance part. I believe they had said in August we would meet with finance department. It was funny when I was walking out from the interview a student nurse was walking out and she told me Don't do it!! Then she laughed. I asked her about it and she said it was just a lot of studying and hard work! YIKES!!!! So nervous!
Hi All,
I originally applied to OCVTS about 2 years ago and each year something always comes up where i am unable to start. I just got off the phone with one of the ladies there, she told me I have to reapply, take the test (if there are any more spots) and might (a big MIGHT) be possible to start in sept. I am also at OCC finished my prereqs last semester, took the TEAS (failed!) I can take it again in March. If I pass it i go on the waiting list which is about a year & a half. Sooo I have to decide go for the LPN, put the RN program on hold right now then do the bridge later??? Sooo confused!
FYI I had 2 friends that went through the program-one failed out, the other passed and is now working LTC making $26/hr. Its worse than the RN program since it is all crammed into 10 months or so. Good luck girls and maybe i will be joining you!

Hello Everyone!
So is anyone here registered for the September 2011 class at Ocean County Votech for the LPN Program? I am, and I have to admit that I'm a little nervous. I've heard how difficult it is, but feel that if I'm dedicated and want it enough, there's no reason why I can't do it.
