OCVTS entrance exam

I applied to OCVTS LPN program and wanted to know what to expect and what the entrance exam is about. Do you need to study for this test?

You HAVE to know basic math and english, I would suggest you buy a GED study guide and go over the math and reading in that, It worked for me Good Luck

I failed the entrance exam the 1st time. Than I got a math & english book for dummies. It worked the 2nd time :)

Did you have to wait another year before taking it again? Do you remember if the science section of the test was difficult? Also, do they accept everyone that passes the test to enter the nursing program or do they take a certain number of students who had the highest test score?

I retook the test in about a month. I dont recall a science part at all. It was basically like a GED test.

Get the math for dummies and english for idiots (whatever they are) Get them from the library. I dont know who they have to accept etc.. Stop worrying about. Just apply now. They are filling up. Use this time to brush up on all your skills with math and english. Where do you put a semi colon. Etc.

Okay, I picked up the review guide on the lpn/lvn pre-ent exam. Is anyone else's head about to explode???

Dont worry about it so much! Just study from a GED book! Im in the program right now..we graduate july 9th!

Hi. I took the test today. I was in the program 2 years ago and had to withdraw due to personal reasons. I was passing though, but since 2 years went by I had to retest to get in. I feel like the test was harder in one area this time. I am in a panic about passing. What is the passing grade? I would appreciate any info to calm me down! Thanks so much!!!!

I was there too today. I dont remember what the passing grade is. I remember her saying you had to pass the 12 grade level? I'm assuming it is 75 - like the tests during the year. I second guessed myself too much. I know I'm going to be stressed the next two weeks. The teacher had said too that even if we pass we are not definitely in the sept. class. We will know by June. Did that happen to you before?

I was there also today! and I was also second guessing myself. I also remember her also saying, that u had to have passed all the sections but didn't state a score just a level like you had said. Good luck to all that took the test this morning!:)

I think anyone who passes the test now and passes the drug test gets into the program this coming september. When I took the test they tried to make it seem like they only had 12 spots left but everyone made it in for that year. Good luck!!
