Hi there, I just wanted to start this discussion and see if anyone already applied for OCCC Spring 2012 Traditional Nursing Program and what points and GPA you guys have? Good luck from now. And btw I have 18 points and 3.6 GPA..
LOL! I know!!! I keep watching, hoping someone will post a message that they got their letter! Of course, then I'd have to wait 'til I got off work to go home and check my mail! I really don't think we'll have to wait another 4 weeks... and really hope we don't! Just based on the past semesters, I'm guessing 2-3 at the most. Let's all cross our fingers!
OK... So I have to admit, I've been obsessing over this whole "waiting" thing. I went back and looked through the Spring 2011 discussions and it looks like their acceptance letters came on Oct. 29. I also saw that someone had called admissions and they had notified that they would be sending the letters out the following week. I plan on calling admissions on Monday and see if I can get any information. After all, I am sure by now they are used to this!
I know I should be more patient, and I wouldn't normally call, but I couldn't stand it anymore! Of course, I wasn't paying attention to what time it was, and it was right at noon... I'm assuming lunchtime. A girl answers the phone and asks me to hold. I sit there for 9 minutes, and finally hang up. From then until 1:00, there was a recording saying everyone was busy. My assumption is, they were headed to lunch and didn't want to take anymore calls. If that's the case, why not just NOT answer the phone instead of putting people on hold? So, I talk to a guy about 1:00, and he says the guy I need is out to lunch and will be back at 2:00. I call back shortly after 2:00, SAME GUY tells me the guy I need is out sick and I'll have to call back tomorrow. I mentioned that I had been told he was just out to lunch, and he says, "Oh, it must've been a miscommunication". Yeah! A miscommunication from you! SORRY SUCKERS! LOL! I guess this will teach me to just be patient! :Þ
