OCCC Nursing Fall 2017

U.S.A. Oklahoma

Published

Hi everyone!

I know this is a bit far away, but I am going to be applying to OCCC's traditional nursing program next fall. My preference points look like they will be right on the line of getting in. I wouldn't mind applying for the spring, but I want to get in as soon as I can lol. I was thinking about taking a CNA course to get that extra preference point. Does anyone know where I could go to get that done, and how much it costs/time it takes?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for creating the FB group! I sent a request to join. :) excited to meet everyone later this summer!

I am so confused . Any one got acceptance from alternative list? Or any idea about how many students may accepted from alternative list?

I think it just depends on how many initial awardees give up their spot. I heard top 15 alternates had a good shot but then my brother said his friends class had 17 alternates and that it was the most they had ever had. She said people were coming in after lunch at orientation that had just been notified that day. I'm number 4 and there is a Fb page that I will def be posting to when/if I get my email if you want to follow It! What number are you?

Just in case anyone is still reading this and is curious where they are at on the alternatives list, I was # 11.5 and just got my acceptance letter today! Very excited!

How many points did you apply with and what was your GPA?

Does Intro to Bio count for the sciences?

Not sure if you were addressing that last person who posted but I had 17 points with a 3.8. I am pretty sure the least amount of points that got accepted to our class was 14 points, not sure on what GPA they had, but I heard some people had as low as a 2.9. Not sure how true that is. Hope that helps. As far as the Intro to Bio, if it had a lab, you have a better chance of it counting.
