OCCC fall 2014 hopefuls!!

Has anyone set up a facebook? KJH1 have you got in? I turned in all my paperwork today and can't wait till orientation. I too heard orientation was when a lot of people drop. I can't wait to meet everyone that is in our class. Also I don't know how many people have bought scrubs yet but if you look online they are cheaper than buying them at orientation and a friend of mine, that just graduated from the nursing program, told me that you can get the scrubs at the scrub store in the outlet mall and that was the cheapest she found.

I have not set up a facebook page and I don't know of one yet either. If you make one, please let me know, I'd love to join it. Thanks for the info about the scrubs. I will definitely wait to get them at the scrub store.

Did anyone take the cpr class at OCCC? Or do you know anything about it?

*Still waiting* Ugh!! I'm hoping I get a call this week, at least telling me I can come to orientation-- maybe a couple drop, and I'll be in. I don't see a group set up on facebook yet. Someone set it up and I'll look for y'all there! :-)

Ugh. How nerve wracking! You'd think they would have the first ten or so alternates come so they don't miss out on info.

I have to go take cpr...again...because they told me ( before I signed up) that the cpr class they offer is the one for Healthcare providers. So $45 and the better part of a Saturday later then they tell me it was the wrong one. :\

Hi Guys, I'm Maggie! Sorry I am late to jump on the band wagon with the start of the Fall 2014 traditional program. I just came across this forum for OCCC. I was an early numbered alternate, but was accepted. Kind of nervous about the info-cram session coming up at Friday's orientation.

I found a Facebook page someone set up it was occc nursing class of 2016 or something like that. Did any of you not turn in all you paperwork? I am short one mmr and they said no big deal I just won't have preference on clinical. I am so excited and ready yet nervous for Friday.

Still waiting to hear whether I'm going to orientation or getting in the program or not. Eek! I saw a class page set up, but it seems like it's a public page, (not a group) which is open to the public. The other classes seem to have a closed group. My parents are so nosey-- I'm not going to "like" that page yet, or they will all see the page and be up in my biz! I'll wait until someone sets up a private group. I'm hopeful that I'll get in, so hope to see y'all Friday!

I'm not sure how to set up a group, I tried but I would have to add friends from my friends list and none of my friends are in our class. That's why I set up a page. If anyone else wants to set up a group or let me know how I will. Hope to see you Friday!

I think it worked on setting up a group. It has the same name as the page did OCCC Nursing Class Of May 2016.

So the advisor at OCCC suggest I change major to AA diverse studies, since Im almost there. She says with that I'll be more competitive & gpa will raise. But that means more $$ I have to pay for classes in humanity (2). At Rose State they suggest to retake few classes I got a D in. Idk which way to go. Any suggestions
