I just found out today that I am Alternate #1 on the list. I'm just wrapping up nutrition and will be taking government during the 2nd 8 weeks of this semester.

I'm on the alternate list too. Do you mind if I ask what your GPA is?

Overall, it's 3.49 but I was granted a ton of academic forgiveness for a couple of really bad semesters over 20 years ago, do my retention GPA is 3.977.

Hey everyone! I just met with occc on this program. I'm planning to apply for jan 2021.. I wanted to get on here and look around. I was told yesterday there is a nursing information session next week for students to get a idea on the program. I had missed the Summer update but I have all my pre req done cause I was doing the 1plus 1 program in 2011 but went thru a divorce and needed to face life as a single person.

So why did most choose this program style? does anyone have someone who completed this program recently?

What was everyone's GPA when the applied to the program?

I chose it as it was the quickest, most affordable for what I was looking to do. OCCC's pass rates were also something that I looked at when considering the program. I am also at a place in my life where I am able to give up everything else in order to be successful in what I have heard is a rather grueling program. I don't personally know anyone who has graduated yet, but I have a friend who is in the thick of it right now having started in January. He loves it but will be the first to admit that it is a LOT.

I had a 3.2 and all my pre-reqs completed which I hear gives you an advantage over those still working on them. They let in folks who have completed all the required classes first and then fill the rest of the spots with those who haven't

All awesome things. thank you! I had a friend who did this program I think about 5 years ago, and she loved it. Said it was hell on earth but nursing school is. I've always been told that. I am the same way, getting in twice before my life is alittle more SLOW now and I can focus I feel alittle better to do this program. Crossing my fingers when app time times. I have everything already done and met with adviser tuesday. while my GPA isn't crazy high, I'm OK giving it a shot. I do need to take the TEAS cause I came from OSU okc with always doing the HESI.

I'm in!

I'm still waiting to see if I get in. I should be pretty high up on the alternate list. Have you heard if they are still planning on having BADNAP this Summer? If yes, what date is orientation?

Yes! Summer semester is going to be completely online and orientation is May 19 via Zoom.

Can anyone tell me if/what the shoe requirement is for clinical?

Thanks!
