  1. You can access the nursing handbook on the website and it'll give you the exact requirements
  2. I chose it as it was the quickest, most affordable for what I was looking to do. OCCC's pass rates were also something that I looked at when considering the program. I am also at a place in my life where I am able to give up everything else in order to be successful in what I have heard is a rather grueling program. I don't personally know anyone who has graduated yet, but I have a friend who is in the thick of it right now having started in January. He loves it but will be the first to admit that it is a LOT. I had a 3.2 and all my pre-reqs completed which I hear gives you an advantage over those still working on them. They let in folks who have completed all the required classes first and then fill the rest of the spots with those who haven't
  3. I’m not able to post a link due to moderator settings, but I believe if you search “OCCC BADNAP Summer 2020” the group I created should come up! If it doesn’t work let me know! Please feel free to add anyone you know who got in.
  4. Here’s a link to the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/198358931385388/?ref=share if you know anyone not on allnurses who got in please add them!
  5. I’m not sure what status mine was in. I think it was in received but I thought it was verified first (by NursingCAS) then received by the school. I could be wrong though. would you guys be interested if I started us a Facebook group? We can slowly accumulate the class onto it
  6. Check your emails! I’ve been accepted!
  7. Hi folks! I'm a (hopeful) BADNAP Summer 2020 admit. I was wondering if any of you or your classmates will be interested in selling things like your scrubs, books, and other essentials for the program? I'm trying to get a head start on where to perhaps find these things second hand.
  8. I'm thinking of trying to teach online as well. My current background is in the mental health field, so I have considered trying to find a crisis center in the metro area where I could perhaps work for them on a part time/as needed basis, but I'm not sure. The hardest part from what I've heard is that the days you have off can vary from week to week, so I guess unless I wanted to work night shift it would be hard to find somewhere that would work with the ever changing schedule. Is anyone going to have to relocate in order to take part in the program? That's going to be my next hurdle as I'm currently living and working in Western Oklahoma.
  9. Oh no! Sending virtual hugs, but I know exactly how you feel and that not much makes it better. I had a college not send my transcript in despite my request being filed like they had sent it off, it was for one class that wasn’t even relevant. At the time, I didn’t know how to check your application on NursingCAS and so I didn’t find out until decisions went out and I didn’t receive an email, so I called to ask what was up. I was gutted. What do you teach? Are you hoping to continue to work even once the program starts? I am thinking about these things in hopes of being prepared for good news, I have a friend in the January 2020 program & he says it’s hard to pull off both working and being a good student with this pace. Congrats on the MBio! That’s awesome! It’s good to know about the 45, I just wish we knew how big the applicant pool was.
  10. I noticed that last year’s summer cohort found out on February 28th (about three weeks after submission)!! Fingers crossed we find out just as quickly. The wait is killing me, I find myself getting anxious and worrying at all times of the day daily! I want this so bad! hows everyone else spending the wait?
  11. Any tips you can pass on in the confirming completeness? I wasn’t considered Last round due to a school forgetting to send in my transcript after I requested it, so I am very anxious about getting it right this time. Triple checked all my transcript were in lol! Fingers crossed as it’s almost out of our hands and into admissions!
