OCCC BADNAP summer 2019

Who applied for the upcoming summer program?

I did and super nervous! I literally changed my whole life to make this work! Had to take my 4 science (chem, micro, ap1 and ap2) and currently taking ap2 so I put all my eggs in this basket to get in! I applied to OUBSN program too but I really want this one!

I'll be working on Mondays and Fridays at the very least so I'm looking at working 25-30 hours a week even if we have a 5 day a week course load.

I was considering working but I decided not too. Nursing school is intense, let alone having to complete it in 8 months. I have a lot of people around me who have completed it and said it’s going to be hell no matter what. I’m fortunate enough that I am not in need of a job right now during school, which is how I decided. I want to put all of my attention on school but if you need a job for financial reasons or whatever the reason may be then it is something you as an individual are going to have to decide. Maybe give it a couple weeks in the beginning and then decide if you think you will be able to handle it. Everyone is different with the amount of tasks they can handle.

@rsawyers @Xbailey you are the only two that I know who have been accepted so far. On other posts I’ve seen that they have created a Facebook page for their “nursing class” would you guys be interested? Or do you think we should wait until we know more people?

BADNAP Summer 2019 is the name of the Facebook group for anyone in the class that wants to join!

I know this is old(er) thread. I am applying to OCCC for fall and was wondering if anyone applied after taking the next-gen accuplacer. If so, how do you input that under the standardized test> accuplacer when it only lets you go to 120?

Hi folks! I'm a (hopeful) BADNAP Summer 2020 admit. I was wondering if any of you or your classmates will be interested in selling things like your scrubs, books, and other essentials for the program? I'm trying to get a head start on where to perhaps find these things second hand.
