I was just looking for an updated thread about Ocean County College. Anyone have any comments, good or bad about their program? I am finished with all my pre-reqs. How long did you wait after you had completed all of your pre-reqs for the program? I was hoping to get in for Spring 2010, but I am not sure that will happen. I keep hearing that people say the waiting list is getting longer. Also, did anyone get in last minute?
Thanks for any input. Good luck to everyone.

I graduated from OCC in 2003. I dont know how it is now but back then I finished my prereqs in the amount of time it took to get into the program but I did the LPN to RN bridge program. It is a good program, has a great passing rate for boards and you will def be prepared when you get out as long as you apply yourself. It is challenging, be prepared to put your life on hold for a while, cut back on work etc, but it goes by fast and when it is over--you will know what it feels like to accomplish something huge.

The wait is still at least 2 years, maybe 1 year for the one day a week program.

I waited 1 1/2 years. I'm in the ODPW. I highly recommend getting a job as an aide whle your waiting it will help you alot 1st semester. Also, start reviewing electrolytes, and nursing math. You can find web sites for both. Good Luck!
