OB RN wants a job outside of the hospital!

Hey Everybody! I have worked on an LDRP unit for 2 years and am considering a job change. I love my patients, but the hours and hospital management are starting to get to me. I'm trying to get ideas about what other careers options are out there for RNs with OB experience OUTSIDE of the hospital. Any suggestions you all have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How does the OB phone triage pay compared to floor nursing?

Does anyone know anything about pursuing a job with a drug company or medical device company, doing sales or clinical education/inservicing? That is something I've considered...

Yes please. I often think of doing something like this..but have no idea where to look!

Would you be able to expand upon your position? What exactly do you do? What does an average day look like for you?

I'm currently a L&D nurse and I love my job; however, I do not see myself as a bedside nurse for forever. I am interested in OB RN opportunities outside of the hospital. Thanks!

Have you ever considered travel nursing? OB travel nurses are in great demand and the money is awesome. And you never have to be in a place for long enough to deal with the politics. If you hate your location, you'd only have to stay a few weeks and then you're off to somewhere else! I don't have 1st hand experience as a travel nurse, but I've heard great things about it! Might be something worth looking into for you! Best of luck either way :)
