Not worried because this would be bad, worried that what the urine test I took this morning gave me a false positive. I'm taking Lamictal but I don't think that would give me a false positive. I took the test because I have started to feel nauseated when I try to eat. I will think I'm hungry but when I start to eat I get sick, this exact same thing happened with my first child (I have three, the youngest is five). I have wanted another baby but didn't think I could get pregnant. People as fat as I am usually have trouble getting pregnant.

Of course, I ran and told my husband the test was positive, now he has his hopes up. Maybe I should have waited.

Have you missed your period? Are you late? Look Lamictal up and see if it's possible to cause a false positive, I don't think it is. Blood in your urine can cause a false positive so if you have a UTI or are getting ready to start you could have blood in your urine. Either way the only way to know for sure is go see the doctor, get your blood drawn, then you'll know for sure. Also, you need to see the doctor to make sure Lamictal is ok for you to be taking if your pregnant. Good Luck, I hope it turns out the way you want.

Davis drug guide states that the action of Lamictal is 'Stabilizes neuronal membranes by inhibiting sodium transport.

The pregnancy test was testing for HCG. I dont think your med would cause a false positive. But get yourself to a doc to get the blood test- dont sit there and wonder.

I have an appointment with the doctor in the morning. I missed my period awhile ago. Since my periods have always been screwy I thought maybe I needed to start taking birth control pills again. I am having the familiar cramping (feels like where my ovaries are) that I had with my other pregnancies. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
