also in a former practice setting we had a child with the name "Euddaman"...prounounced "you da man!"...
in the same practice we had a child named shithead, but her name was pronounced similar to Sinead (as in O'Connor)....should be child abuse charges for naming a kid something like that

You know what I think is kinda weird? When people can't think of something original and use stuff like John, James, Jennifer, Margaret, etc. Those are odd to me!!!
My kids are Savvanah Rayne and Sahara Blue and I am darn proud of it. There is a fine line between unusual and stupid, though...
BTW, I hope I don't sound snotty because that is not my intention, but sometimes using names like "John" and "Jennifer" is not because you "can't think of something original" but because you are choosing to honour family or friends such as my son John being named for my husband's father who died of brain cancer at 39 when my husband was 10...........
(but his middle name is "Edsel" after my father - I don't think they get more original than that............)

His first name sounded like LAY-MON. And last name like JUE-LO....thus on paper...Lemon Jello. POOR KID!
I had a supervisor whose name was Cinnamon Dyke. Of course, everyone called her cinnamon...well...I won't go there for the last name...you can figure it out. She really deserved her name because she was one of the rudest people I've ever met....maybe she was compensating for her name...
Why do parents name their kids this??? Don't they realize that they will be the object of ridicule?? Were they on drugs or something???

Thought I'd add mine. Back in 1981 in my first semester of college (William Paterson College in NJ - now a university), the president of the college's name was Seymor Hymen.
And around the corner from my house (actually right next door to Martha Stewart's childhood home), the home owners last name was Lisa. And what do you think they named their daughter <drum roll please> MONA!

As an adult, my favorite wacky baby name is: Quantawnadasia . Don't you love it? The girl who named her baby that had to ask, "Mamaaaaa!!! How we spell the baby's name?" and then it was a matter of debate.
