  1. No you didn't do anything wrong and your instructor is probably and insecure...... oh never mind I won't finish that sentence. Its just a personal pet peeve of mine how our students are treated. I get students all the time that are afraid of speaking out when they don't know something. The first thing I do is have them explain to me what they are going to do and why...and if you don't know its OK. Your students for heavens sakes.
  2. That is why I'm not loyal to any hospital.
  3. "The new guy wanted to "bring in his own people" who would kow-tow to him." You hit it right on there. I think it is more about power and obedience then money. Its too bad patient care isn't the priority.
  4. It seems that this is happening a lot this last year. I applied for a job went to the interview and was told "Oh we just got rid of a bunch of nurses". Didn't accept the job.
  5. Thanks. I understand about not giving medical advise got a call into my husbands Dr right now. She can't talk to me about him I know but I'm going to see if she'll talk to me about an immunosupressed person going to AZ. I don't remember if I mentioned it or not but I've been a nurse for 15 years and never heard of it. Just want to know nurses clinical experience with the disease. Thank you for the website I got in touch with UofA in Touson today and of course they couldn't tell me anything except it is common here and its in the soil fungus etc.
  6. Thank you. I did some research online that is a good site. Have you taken care of anyone with this disease?
  7. I just moved to the Peoria area and my husband plans on joining me soon. Someone just told me about Valley Fever I've been a nurse for 15 years never heard of it until yesterday. Here is the problem my husband is immunosuppresed and I'm wondering if I should even bring him. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.
  8. That is so funny
  9. Hi Crystal, You know everything your counselor said about nursing is true. It is emotionally draining at times and high stress and you do need a good grip on math and chemistry. You also do need to be self assured. I'm not saying you shouldn't go into nursing because all these things can be worked on. Maybe you just need a little help with your math. You say you have a self esteem problem. That too can be worked on. There are things that can raise your self esteem. Sounds to me your afraid of failing. Do you want me to tell you how many times I've failed at something? My advise to you would get a job as a nurses aid or HUC to see if it really is for you. I've known some really smart nice people that went into nursing and it wasn't for them. Keep your head up girl! Sheri
  10. Sorry took so long to reply. I'm moving to Sun City. How is the house selling going? We decided to rent our house
  11. Your from WI and a Chicago Bear fan!! Shame on you!:) I'm just kidding. I'm from Wi also, took a travel assignment in TX told someone that I didn't drink beer and not a Packers fan. His response was "Oh your the one!" :) Seriously considering moving to AZ also for the same reason as you plus my husband suffers from RA and hoping it will help. Got a job offer yesterday. Now I have to worry about getting a house.....doing something with this house and my dogs. (dogs coming with so I have to get a house)
  12. Thank you highlandlass1592 for that website. You guys were all right of course it was CVP and the fact I didn't know that tells me I have a lot of studying to do. Thanks
  13. A. CVP B. Left-ventricular end-diastolic pressure C. PAWP D. Cardiac output I'm trying to brush up on my Cardiac knowledge because it is a weakness of mine. I got this question on a self test wrong and just want to see if anyone else said the same thing I did. I'll post the correct answer later.
  14. You will probably get 60 to 70 credits from your Associate Degree program. Thats what the University told me when I applied.
  15. No you won't have trouble finding a job as an ADN. That being said ADN programs are kick- butt. The ADNs come out ready and running.
