Morning sunshine in San Diego is the same as Oregon sunshine. It doesn't get sunny until around 12 noon. Beautiful hospital and campus, though.

Scripps Memorial in LaJolla... ahhh, that brings back memories. I worked as a candy striper about 17 years ago in OB/GYN. It was a wonderful floor and a top hospital in a nice area (how could La Jolla not be described as beautiful? :) ) I miss those ocean views from the top floors of the hospital, especially since I've been living in landlocked Oklahoma for the past 20 years.

I'm sorry that I can't provide precise information about actually working as a nurse there. I know that sometimes it seemed that there was conflict among the staff, but that was so many years ago and things have probably changed.

If I ever move back to S. Cal, I'd love the opportunity to work at Scripps.

I did a clinical at Scripps La Jolla thought not in L&D it was on their tele and ICU units. I loved the hospital and the nurses were awesome to work with.

Anyone here know anything about Scripps Memorial in La Jolla? I'm really interested in relocating to the San Diego area after graduation this June and leave the Oregon sunshine behind! :chuckle My best friend is moving there also. I've been checking out new grad positions in L&D (that's the area I've always wanted to work) and got a call from Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. I'm already aware of the cost of living in SoCal. I'm interested in finding out specifically about the hospital.
