I am looking to get my NP in women's health, and would like to do it online, part time, on my time. Can anyone recommend any accredited programs that have this curriculum? Thanks in advance.

Two of my co-workers are going to the University of Cinncinati online for WHNP. I go to St. Louis University online, but I am going for Perinatal Educator. SLU has NP, but it is Peds, Geri, and Family not WHNP. Good luck!!!

Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing - http://www.midwives.org - also has WHCNP in a community based/distance education format. Excellent school.

If you wouldn't mind sharing, what is your experience/opinion about this program at SLU? I have my eye on it....

I like SLU so far. I only take one class at a time. There is a lot of reading and in my experience so far, you need to keep up w/ the discussions. I haven't done any of my clinical yet. I am on the 5th of thirtten required classes. I like the flexibility of the online program. They have a fabulous library you can access online.

Specializes in OB/GYN.

imenid37, I am replying to an old thread (2/1007) because I have a question concerning your 2 coworkers that were attending the University of Cincinnati WHNP program....Did they finish? Do they consider it a good program? Did they have any concerns or problems with the Univeristy or the program?...I am asking because I am considering the program for myself and am having a hard time finding someone who knows anything about the program. Thanks!
