ok, i swear i have not partaken of any hallucigens(sp), but sometime ago, when we received our newest set of monitors, i know the rep showed us some sequence to use that would result in the monitor playing "happy birthday to you" , that you pressed when the baby was born. this was supposed to be a feel good thing for the parents. i only figured it out once and now we can't find the manuals to our old monitors...does anyone know what i mean, or have the same or similar equipment. does anyone think i am on drugs? honest, i know there is a way to do it. if anyone knows the answer, please remind me how to do it...don't recall the model number but can check.....

try going to the website for the monitors' manufacturer...should have a link to contact them with qustions, or a 1-800 #...

GREAT idea! Thanks( You would think a person who can save lives would have thought of that...:) )

We have it on our monitors too. I could tell you how to access it if I had my monitor in front of me, but I can't remember with out the monitor. No you are not hallucinating. It does exist!

Oh thank GOD I wasn't hallucinating..I was beginning to think I was nuts AND so were our younger, newer contingent of nurses...Labor nurse, I would be so indebted to you if, when you next go to work, could see how you did it and give me the directions.....

I too have done it but can't remember without seeing the monitor. Seems like with our newer HP's there a couple of little tunes you can play. I've only done it a few times but it's kinda fun.

On our monitors, you turn the knob until you have setup highlighted and then "click" on it, then somewhere on the screen it says "play song", you turn the knob until you have that part highlighted, then "click" on that, there are 3 songs to choose from, or you can choose to play all 3 back to back. I hope this helps you! Even if it isn't the same, maybe you can figure it out if you have similar monitors.

Nope, you're not imagining things. Corometrics monitors?

They are older than some described here. Think we have had them at least 6 or 7 years. I remember being taught how to do it and that was it. We use QMI as the computer system...

I will be happy to post the directions for you mother/babyRN

I work this weekend so I will have them tomorrow.

we have it too on corometrics 120 model. i think you scroll button over to set up, push button and then it's one of your choices. what kind of monitor do you have. if it's the same, i'll check it out tonight.
