Oakland University- Beaumont 2021 CRNA

Nursing Students SRNA

Hello!

I was wondering if there were any other Oakland University 2021 applicants out there?!    Thought I'd start this thread to support each other though the interview and fingernail bitting admission process!

I applied, I got an interview this month. Good luck!

Interview  at end of month too. Any of you also interviewing for WSU? The thread for that is not really popping

How are y'all preparing?? Let's share resources

Hi guys! Congratulations to everyone on getting an interview! I wish everyone the best of luck. What cohort did you apply for? I am interviewing for Royal Oak.  @Reverdy9 I did not apply to WSU.

I don't know anyone who has gone through the interview process at OU. Have any of you heard anything about it from people who have interviewed? I attended the virtual open house and they said there are five or so different sections to it, one in the sim lab.

Did you guys receive a link to do an assessment? Any insight on what kind  of "assessment" this is?

@Reverdy9 I love our idea of sharing resources to help study for our interview!

Im not sure how much they are going to ask on pharm and physiology, so Im studying that and going over my CCRN again. Using the Baron's CCRN, PASS CCRN, the pocket prep app and Laura Gasparis videos I got on eBay.

I saw the thread "Tired of searching for CRNA Interview Questions??" and it has a lot questions posted which people have been asked in interviews.

OMG, 5 parts?! WOW!. Good luck to us. I'm doing exactly the same thing as you study wise, Barron's and Pass CCRN. I also have Marino's ICU book as a more detailed reference. I've not met anyone who interviewed there too. Even the threads here have no info. I tried to complete the assessment link, but the link is broken, so I emailed someone. Tomorrow is the deadline though, so I hope y'all have completed it

Oh no! I hope that someone got back to you regarding the link?! My email says it is due at 2359 on 9/12/2020/? I hope that is right as I'm on a work stretch and don't have a chunk of time off to do it until the 12th and I hope my link works!

It's super hard to find any other information on this interview process, which makes preparing for it that much more of a challenge! If I come across any resources or information I'll share it! ?

Hey,

My locations are Royal oak and Toledo. Hope you remember to do it since tonight is the deadline. Someone said it's a mix of clinical personal questions. I doubt it'll be 5 sections again this year, as covid precautions overrule, but I think they'll MAXIMIZE those in-person 30 minutes. I also heard they offer interview spots to 90ish people or so, for those 15-20 spots

Did anyone interview Sept 14? The interview email said 90 minutes and the interview time slot (plus comments here) suggest it's 30 minutes. I'm just wondering which it is. Thanks!

Shall we revive this thread? How's everyone holding up as the interview approaches?

It would be nice to revive this thread! I am very nervous to interview as I have absolutely no idea what to expect and everyone seems to be pretty tight lipped on what the interview entails. Even the length of the interview is in question LOL. The email says 90 minutes, not sure where 30 minutes came from?! Since its in person and not on zoom like a lot of universities have gone too, Im speculating that that is for a reason? Any one willing to share more information that would be great!

interviewing soon!
