Oakland University ASDN Winter 2013 Interview

Hi All-

I thought I would start this thread for those interviewing in the next couple of weeks for the Winter 2013 Cohort. I'm excited and nervous. My family needs this - my kids are excited mom is going back to school but would love to see mom as a nurse. :)

Nothing yet. I've already taken patho and nutrition. Although i believe you take a different class now other than nutrition. Since i took it a couple years ago they will accept my nutrition but be sure to look into it before you sign up for a class you don't need. Nutrition was pretty easy but i did spend a lot of time studying for patho. I did take it in the summer so the class did move quickly. Just make sure you're ready to devote a decent amount of time to the class and you will do fine. I really enjoyed the class.

I'm taking patho now and will wait until the semester before I start to take pharm. Informatics is the new class and it's half a semester. I'll probably take that whenever I need a class to fill my schedule.

What is Informatics? I'm wondering if taking patho and informatics would be too much over the accelerated summer session, any thoughts? Or should I take Pharm and Informatics in the fall?

Also, has anyone taken ----- for patho or should I take --------?

I got in!!!! My letter came today. I still can't believe it!

I took the online patho class with neither of those instructors (I saw your post before they deleted the names). It is powerpoints and weekly timed open book quizzes. If you are quick at reading and looking up information, you will do well.

Now that I know I will start in January 2013, I will take Pharm in the fall 2012 with Informatics.

I got in as well. I just wish I could start in the fall but I'm happy. I took patho at OCC and hoping they will accept it but if not I guess I'll take it over the summer. In the acceptance letter they do say if you took any of those three somewhere else, send in a transcript. What is Informatics, any idea?

Accepted :) I am taking patho this summer, and pharm and informatics in the fall, as well!
