Oakland Community College Students 2017

Published

Hello, I am looking to start the program in Fall of 2017! I'm looking to meet students and take this journey together and share our experience

Probably not, I'm sure they won't mail the acceptance letters until after March 15. It's rumored that last year they sent out some rejection letters in February.

Letters are mailed no later than March 15, according to the site.

They have to be postmarked no later than march 15. They can come earlier or later as long as they were postmarked by then. 2016 ppl got there starting as early as the 11 of march and 2015 got theirs starting march 1... I also heard the rumor that rejection letters came out in Feb but the office didn't say how true.. Either way I can't wait to hear something!!!!

Oh I know, I've been on pins and needles waiting for this. :arghh:

I know @ReadyToNurse!!!!! Yesterday I looked at the summer class of pharmacology on myocc search for sections. there are 4 classes up ! I also looked at the professors teaching it on Ratemyprofessor. All I could think is I might be in one of those classes !!!! We are so close

Well right now I guess it all depends on whether they send the letters out before or after break. In the 2014 thread I saw that some people received their letters in late February. Not as many people applied this year as last year so hopefully they sent them out before break.

I told myself to give it till next week since we on break but I'm really hoping I get something this week... But of course since I want it so bad im Sure it won't fall like that lol

For anyone that maybe interested in getting an idea of what books needed for pharm class. On the bookstore website there is a list of the pharmacology class books and editions needed. I have been planning ahead since i will be paying for school out of pocket smh

Oh cool, I've been keeping an eye out for that so I can study ahead.

is it safe to start randomly ,i really would love to start early but i am afraid to start studying and end up doing the wrong things. how would we know which is the right book ?

If you check the book store under summer 2017 semester Pharmacology 1290. it gives you the book list and editions. also it seems from the threads I read the first 9 chapters are to be read before class. But I think just reading and getting familiar with the content wouldn't hurt even if you skim and just get a feel for the books. I bought mine from a prior student a few mths back and been reading and doing medical calculations just to get a feel for what in the book.

oh thanks for the info ,I will go ahead and buy the book
