Oakland Community College Students 2017

Published

Hello, I am looking to start the program in Fall of 2017! I'm looking to meet students and take this journey together and share our experience

i am priority one too , my score is 16.4

I wonder if everyone that applied is priority one as well.

I know at least three people that applied this year and are lower scores than me and I have a 15.98 P1. So if you have a 16.4 than you know of four people including me that are lower than you. Therefore, if they took 220, than you should be good if all else fails.

I think more than likely all of us on here are safe. If we care enough to check on here all the time, we also cared enough to get high grades.

Im priority 1 and I need this letter to come immediately.. I'm not sure about my points though. I think they will mail out by the end of this week.

There's a calculation sheet in the admission guide if you're curious about it. I don't need the letter to come immediately because I think I'm pretty safe, but it would be nice to have the letter so I can get everything done. A lot of the students I was in my prerequisite classes with last years seemed to just not care. Some of them did care like we do, but a lot of them didn't. I also noticed a lot of them would get mad and blame the teacher if they got bad grades. It was nothing like when I took classes back in 2008-2009 and everyone would strive for the best grades possible. Times are good right now and people seem to be taking things for granted. I'm telling you we have nothing to worry about.

So, what field are you guys planning on specializing in with your nursing degree?

I would like to be a surgical nurse or E.R.

Yeah, ER is cool. I'm looking to get into surgical or medical ICU.

I'm in ER now so I'll most likely stay, also Neonatal ICU

@ studentmom, I know you keep saying you're worried because of your transferred credits, but the admission guide only looks at whether or not your BIO and ENG credits were transferred. You can transfer up to 8 credits without being penalized

What bmonica22 is saying is correct. I transferred some of mine in and asked my counselor about it when I applied. She said since I have less than 8 credits of the core classes transferred I get all the points.
