Oakland community college highland lakes

Hi everyone,

Im new to the website. I am currently taking pre-req classes at occ highland lakes campus. Planning on applying for the nursing program in December 2018. Is there anyone in the same boat?

Did you take ethics and psychology? What were your grades? You would had to have taken those classes as well to Ben a priority 1 applicant.

I received my acceptance letter last Saturday the 16th! I am requesting winter start. Congratulations to all of you!

I did! ? They resent out the letters and the cut off this year was 13.6 for the program! There was apperently A LOT of confusion for all who werent accepted this year! It was my B+ and not an A that didnt get me in this year! Ive applied to multiple other nursing programs for this fall though so not all hope is lost! Good luck to everyone in OCCs program, work hard and dont give up! You all got this!

Has anyone received anything papers yet or been assigned into summer classes yet?

We have not but someone spoke with the nursing office yesterday and was told that we will receive all info within the next two weeks and that’s EVERYONE got the start they selected this year! We are all on a Facebook page as well as a group on the discord app if you want to be added! The Facebook group is called “Oakland Community College Fal 2019/Winter 2020” and the link for the discord group is on the Facebook page!
