Hi, can anybody redirect me to any link or list of requirements in order to practice as an RN in Australia please. My understanding is if you are a nurse qualified from NZ then you don't have to provide IELTS or english test result. So, what I am interested to know is the requirements and STEPS that required in order to become a nurse (RN) in Aussie. Thank you for your assistance and help. cheers!

Have a look around the site (I find it's not particularly intuitive). The application form is under general and it's the trans Tasman mutual agreement one
Thank you. :)

No it seems if you have New Zealand nursing registration you do not need IELTS.
Though if you are not a New Zealand citizen you may find it difficult to work if you do not have a sponsor for visa or be eligible for a working holiday visa and your english is below the AHPRA english requirements in interviews and if wanting to attain PR as a skills immigrant you need the 7 in IELTS.

Hey i came to aus as a grad in jan all i had to do was get my nz reg and prac cert and apply for trans tasman mutual recognition thats all no tests etc. If you want to work here you need to apply to the computer matching website and start the ball rolling. I did my cv in june and applied for jobs in july then interview by phone is aug then found out in oct about job. Its a long process so i'd recommend looking now.
