I saw a thread for Spring 2021 and I just applied for Fall 2021 so thought this thread could be helpful for those also applying to the NYU Fall 2021 New Graduate Nurse Residency!

I haven't heard back yet but I only submitted my stuff on Sept 18 so it's been pretty recent.

So I just heard back from someone and I was told that they rarely have peds openings and to follow up in 3-4 weeks.

That’s awesome!! Hmmm I submitted on 9/9 to the posting on their careers website (posting NSG 006) but I don’t remember it asking me from my speciality preference… LOL. Also, when u heard back, was it thru email? My job app still says profile/resume submitted successfully.

It didn't ask me for my speciality either. They asked to confirm my specialty preference today when they reached out to me. My app says "Profile/Resume Received & Under Review."

I see, thanks for updating us and that’s such a relief to hear back!! We got this! That’s a good sign that they told you to reach back out in a couple weeks. Was this reply back via email?

Yup I got an email today. I need a job ASAP LOL I'm hoping that in 4 weeks I'll have a job elsewhere. Gahhhh searching for a job as a new grad is a job in itself

I feeeeel you! Well if you’re open to vaccination jobs there are soooo many and willing to hire new grads. That’s what I’ve been doing in the mean time. They’re low commitment and are not contracted. If you’re on facebook, join the New York Nurse Job Opportunities page and you’ll see lots of temporary contract jobs for new grads
