NYU Accelerated BSN Spring 2012

Published

hey! I figured I will start this thread! Who applied and now waiting anxiously?? :)

I wonder if they will be sending out any acceptance letter next week since its a holiday? Anyone else feel like days seem to be going by slower than usual because we are waiting? Lol

@faces04 i know exactly how you feel, it seems that days r just dragging on and on and im almost afraid to check albert anymore.when did you apply by?

hi everyone!

i'm in the same boat as you jenny and faces....it's torture! i've been emailing with an admissions counselor and i asked if they thought i would be hearing back this week and no reply....gahhh. i hope all this means is that they are giving our applications some serious consideration...however, it's nerveracking to know they probably send acceptances to their most qualified applicants first :-/

Hey gk and Laura,

Yeah this waiting business is no fun but hopefully you are right and it means that they are seriously considering us. I applied regular deadline, Nov 1st.

i applied before the oct 1. deadline, but they asked for midterm grades a few weeks ago (which are good thankfully) and they never received one of my rec's so i had that sent last week.

@laura: i applied by Oct 1st too.

so if you're missing documents, they are allowing you to send them in?

i'm wondering if i should just send my transcripts again.

ok, they asked that i send the transcripts again.

hopefully going through all this will be worth it...

did they lose yours or something? sorry i haven't been following all the posts....

@laura: i'm assuming it's somewhere but they just can't find it.

also...what are the people who are waiting GPA's, healthcare experience like? i didn't have a great GPA - 3.3 about, but i've been an EMT for 3 years and had a research position in the ER...hoping that will help...

really?! well they seem really good about accepting things late which is good!

Hey Laur,

My Overall GPA is a 3.3 my prereqs are higher about a 3.7-3.8. So far this semester I have a 4.0 so that should help my GPA. I've worked as a physical therapy tech in the recent past for about 4 years. from what I've heard NYU really looks at the applicant as a whole so a not-so-amazing GPA isn't necessarily a deal breaker.
