Nyu accel prog spring 2010

Good luck! I won't have all the pre-reqs done by the Spring but I'm looking for the fall right now

Thank you! I am really hoping/praying as it is my #1 choice. I will also be applying to UMDNJ, NJCU, Desalles Univ, and I believe Geroge Mason (if i dont have to take ethics). I just dont have any more time to take other pre-req's.

I'm looking at Pace, LIU Brooklyn, Stonybrook and Drexel & Thomas Jefferson in Philly right now.

I was looking at Thomas Jeff but they said they arent accepting any more applications right now?? Pace had too many req'ts for me to get in for Spring of 2010. I should check out LIU. The whole issue is some what organic chem some schools want gen chem.. its so hard to satisfy everyones pre reqs

Thomas Jeff aren't for this year and I think they are a fall only start it looks like.

As for Pace, I don't think the reqs they want to be that bad, I can't start anywhere in the Spring b/c of A&P 2 (I'll be taking that over the winter) and Micro Bio (taking that in the spring). What are you missing from Pace?

I'll have General Chem, not Organic. I think almost all the places I'm looking at have similar if not the same reqs. The only ones that are different are some want some psych classes as well.

Your degree in business you probably have stats as well then, right?

I'm in my first semester of pre-reqs, I'll have A&P 1, Intro to Chem, Intro to Psych, Nutrition (some schools want this [or Chem 2 or another sci]) done, and A&P 2 after the winter, and leaving me Micro and Dev Psych in the spring (and if I go for Stonybrook and LIU there is another Psych they want I just forgot which one). I have Soc and Stats from my other BS.

Pace wants the GRE because you get master's credits. Which is the appeal of the program for me.

Yes I have Stats already thank goodness! LOL.. I forgot I also took Nurtrition this summer.. This summer was pretty intense b/c I took all of those pre reqs aside from A&P 2, dev Psych, and Micro which I am taking now. I did not know that about Pace. I am just so awful at testing.. I know thats not a good reason but..Also in regards to pace I think tuition was much more than NYU.

I thought when I looked NYU was more expensive...I'll have to look again.

Right now I really am liking the Thomas Jefferson program and the Drexel program. I really need to narrow it down a little bit before I start applying!

Do you know the pre reqs for drexel??

3 Hours Ethics

3 Hours Nutrition

4 Hours Chemistry

4 Hours Microbiology

4 Hours Anatomy

4 Hours Physiology

3 Hours Computer Science

3 Hours Statistics

The only think I don't know if I have is the computer science because I don't know what they count as computer science, and the ethics. I'm not sure if where I'm taking my pre-reqs even offers an ethics class that I can take not being in their nursing program. I need to find this all out and call them, because it might not be an option for me.

Yea the ethics and computer science would be in ? Even Psych for me.. b/c I took a Psych class but it had to do with leadership not gen psych. I had to take a computer class for Business.. but I will have to call them as well..

Oh boy so many apps and schools to figure out and enough time !
