NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

Hi! I am applying to NYU as well, did you guys do transcript entry on the common app? Is it required? Also did you guys send transcripts to the email on the website or through the common app?

Transcript entry is only required for the prerequisite courses. And I sent one transcript to common app and another transcript directly to the NYU email - both work fine.

Does anyone know if NYU will take into consideration if we sent in our application before the priority deadline? I don't see anything on the portal that states when we submitted our application.

I believe when you submit your application during the priority deadline your application is viewed prior to the applications that were sent out during the regular deadline, that's the only advantage to sending your application early.

Hello everyone, just wanted to post a quick update. I received my credentials for the Albert Portal Login on 9/29/2020, yesterday.

I was accepted in to Northeastern University's ABSN (NU) for the Winter 2020 cycle, and put my deposit down already. Despite that, they asked me to let them know a permanent decision by November 19, just to be fair to students on the waitlist. Please pray that we get decision for then (I know someone mentioned 6 weeks, but thats a lot).

Btw highly recommend NU because they give you an admissions counselor. Although they screen you before you even start the application, you're almost guaranteed a spot if you follow through.

Submitted my application yesterday through the common app and sent all my transcripts electronically through email right after. Got my login today and they already received everything according to the application portal.

My grades are trash but Im giving it a shot *** it LOL

BA in Psychology GPA: 2.70

Pre Req GPA: 3.01

Nutrition: B

Dev Psych: B-

A&P1: A

Taking Micro and AP&2 right now for fall semester

I've been in the social work field since graduating and I don't really have much healthcare experience. Im banking on my essay and recommendation to make up for my grades.

we have the same stats so I’m in the same boat as you. I didn’t submit letters of rec so I’m just relying on my personal statement tbh

Is anyone applying to both graduate programs an undergraduate programs? What are you guys doing about the FAFSA?

Only applying for the undergraduate program. As for FAFSA you need to complete it but if you already have a bachelors you will not receive financial aid from them for a second bachelors as far as I know. Call NYU just to make sure though!

@Dajana12

Really? This program is only for students who already possess a bachelors degree.  So are you saying the majority of the students admitted will not receive aid from NYU?

Yes, you will only receive aid from NYU but that varies from person to person. Some might get aid from NYU and some will not receive anything based on your annual income of course. Im not really sure how it actually works but this is all I know.

Okay, I see what you're saying now

Can anyone else only see their financial aid checklist and the "update materials" portion on their application status page?
