NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

Anybody know when they start giving out decisions and how they go about doing it?

I called and they said we could find out in two weeks all the way to the middle of DECEMBER *crying inside* Good luck everyone.

DECEMBER?! a little redic. for people who applied to other schools and need to give a response ASAP most of the time to secure their spot.

I tried to stay away from all nurses because of my anxiety but you guys are all very helpful !☺️ I have been very nervous and am praying for the best! I will share my stats in case anyone needs it.

Psych BA 3.1 CUM GPA 

Not sure of my pre-req GPA ??

A&P1: B+, A&P2: A- , BIO: B- , CHEM : B+ , LIFE SPAN: A- , MICRO: IN PROCESS , NUTRITION: A+ , Stats: C

5 years work experience as a Medical Assistant 

2 year work experience as a life care support instructor at a Disability facility 

(no volunteering experience as I needed the time to work and go to school unfortunately)

Hey guys, is there a place to add the hours for volunteering because I don't see one on the common app. Do we even have to add them anywhere?

I also happened to have called admissions today, in regards to an email I received about updating my pre-reqs and I asked when decisions will be going out. I was told between late October to the end of this year. Not sure how accurate this is, sounds a little outlandish.   I also asked is this the timeline even for priority deadlines- and the rep said yes.

I’m not a rep so I obviously don’t know but I’m thinking maybe later notifications would be in regards to like people getting off the waitlist, etc? I feel like basic yes/no/being put on the waitlist answers will be the next two weeks-Novemberish. Just an idea!

has anyones checklist disappeared. seems from previous years/blog posts when it disappears so early that's a bad sign ?
