NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

Heres my stats:

Anatomy and Physiology 1: A

Anatomy and Physiology 2: A

Nutrition: A

Statistics: A

Developmental Psych: A

Microbiology: B

Chemistry: A

Prereq GPA 3.83

Undergrad GPA (Ethnic Studies) + Prerequisites : 3.5

I saw that the letters of recommendation are recommended but not required, is everyone turning in letters of recommendations? 

I didn't submit any letter of rec

Just spoke with someone from Admissions and they said they admit 200-500 students into the program. Was anyone aware of this? They said there’s not a defined amount and they take the best qualified candidates.

I think that’s regular BSN and accelerated combined.

I did ask specifically for ABSN but you could be right.

Hi! I’m thinking of applying, I know I missed the priority deadline but do you think it affects the possibility a lot? I know some schools usually get completely full by the priority deadline.

Hi! From what I've noticed NYU accepts a pretty large cohort and I've known people who have been accepted even after applying past the priority deadline. Just make sure all your documents are in before the final deadline. I don't think they've started reviewing apps for this term yet so I'd say it doesn't hurt to try!

Hey All!

I applied way before priority but the common app never received my transcripts. I emailed the school telling them I sent it through PDF as that is how my colleges were sending them out. NYU replied to me that when they receive them they will be added to my file but never heard back from them. I just now decided to send them paper copies to the address listed on their site. I figured that would be okay since final deadline is Oct 15. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Fingers crossed!

That is happening to me as well. I feel like I also should send them paper copies of all of my documents but I'm not sure if I should wait. My transcripts were sent electronically and I got a receipt back through my emailing informing me that NYU received it so I am hoping that it is because they have not started looking through applications yet like someone said before. I called admissions and was on the phone for a while to confirm that all my transcripts and recommendation letters and a woman found them so I took her name as proof so they have no excuse! LOL
