NYU ABSN Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.

I also made an (early) Facebook group: Log into Facebook | Facebook

I login and it says "First-Year, Transfer, and 2nd Bachelor's Degree applicants: please navigate to the Application Status Page to see your status. If you have been offered admission, you will click on the button above to go through the accept/decline process." So when I click on the link it just takes me back to the checklist page with my financial aid checklist and theres no response :(

Me too!! Maybe cause we didn't get our decisions yet :o :'(

Congrats to all those who got accepted!!! It must feel amazing!! Is it possible to share where you're from? I'm trying to figure out if those who love in NY may get a later reply because we don't have to do a big move. Thanks!!!! :)

I unfortunately did not get accepted. Congratulations to everyone who got in !

Out of curiosity for those that applied, was NYU always the top choice or were there other schools you were strongly considering as well? Where there any other options and why NYU is your top choice?

I unfortunately did not get in either, so I have chosen a different school to attend. Best of luck to everyone in their future endeavors!

Hey Meg928 what other ABSN schools did you apply too ?

I submitted my application on 10/13 and received my acceptance letter today! I applied for the fall semester and was declined but reapplied for spring and just received the email!

I have been a CNA for 2 years and have volunteer experience at the Redcross. I also had 2 LORs sent by nurses at my job.

My stats are

A&P1: A Nutrition:A

A&P2: B Developmental psych: A

Micro: B Chemistry: B+

Statistics:C

Hope this helps!

I had applied to and got accepted to LIU Brooklyn and College of New Rochelle, they were both accelerated programs. But I've decided to attend NYIT, which is a two year program but closer to where I live.

I applied to 10 schools, but my top 4 are Phillips School of Nursing Beth Israel Mount Sinai, NYU, Pace, and Binghamton. I got rejected from Pace, accepted into Phillips, and no results from Binghamton. I would say that I am more inclined with NYU and Phillips because they are in the city and I would not have to worry about the extra cost of room and board. I was hoping to hear something from NYU today, but never received an application status update. I think at this point I will go with Phillips since the tuition is supposed to be cheaper.

Congratulations! Do you inow when does the NYIT semester started. I didnt know they have a ABSN program. Is it to late to apply ?

Do you mind sharing your stats ? I want to apply to Phillips aswell. Congratulations btw !

@Meg928 Congrats as well! I didn't know about NYIT program either. @Lova94 Thank you :) I just finished graduating from college in June of this year with a bio degree. A&P 2 : B
