I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.
I also made an (early) Facebook group: Log into Facebook | Facebook
I submitted my application on 10/13 and received my acceptance letter today! I applied for the fall semester and was declined but reapplied for spring and just received the email!
I have been a CNA for 2 years and have volunteer experience at the Redcross. I also had 2 LORs sent by nurses at my job.
My stats are
A&P1: A Nutrition:A
A&P2: B Developmental psych: A
Micro: B Chemistry: B+
Statistics:C
Hope this helps!
I applied to 10 schools, but my top 4 are Phillips School of Nursing Beth Israel Mount Sinai, NYU, Pace, and Binghamton. I got rejected from Pace, accepted into Phillips, and no results from Binghamton. I would say that I am more inclined with NYU and Phillips because they are in the city and I would not have to worry about the extra cost of room and board. I was hoping to hear something from NYU today, but never received an application status update. I think at this point I will go with Phillips since the tuition is supposed to be cheaper.
@Meg928 Congrats as well! I didn't know about NYIT program either. @Lova94 Thank you :) I just finished graduating from college in June of this year with a bio degree. I don't have any work experience really and decided on this path from pre-med to nursing in the beginning of my Junior year. I took statistics as a Freshman and chem as a Sophomore with my major and the other prerequisites during the Fall semester of my junior year up until this summer.
My stats are:
A&P 1 : A
A&P 2 : B
Microbiology : A
Statistics: C+
Nutrition: A
Ethics: A
Gen Chem 1 & 2 : B-
Intro to Psych : A
Human Growth and Development Psych : A
